3D Phone displays are manufactured by many large companies including Texas Instruments, Dreamroc, NTT Docomo, and Samsung. The market for 3-D displays is expected to grow exponentially over the coming years as they are used in smartphones, video games, displays, GPS devices, and almost everywhere you see a 2D display screen today. The rise of no-glasses 3D displays makes it possible to provide three dimensional viewing and augmented reality apps to places where screens have not been seen before, such as quality control and assembly line operations around the world. Imaging looking at a 3-D augmented reality display that described the assembly process of different parts, or one that selected out agricultural products that did not appear to be fresh. For military technology (like submarines) a 3-d display screen could create a virtual environment based on sonar and passive ocean noise, so sailors would have a more realistic view of what is essentially a dark ocean.
